Hi all, Please enlighten me if you can. I was wondering if there was signal based physics simulation engine. Not Jitter's physics engine, (bullet). What I mean is , using Jitter's physic engine and converting it to Max to then trigger and filter stuff in MSP will not give us, and process sound. So I was wondering if there was a MSP/signal version of a physics simulation engine. Endless Thanks phiol
This system allows to insert physical objects in audio digital signal processing chains, filtering the sound with the acoustic impulse, response of any solid measured in real-time. Physical objects are modeled as a linear time-invariant system, which is then used as an audio,. The impulse response is obtained correlating a noise signal injected in the object through an acoustic actuator with the signal received from, an acoustic sensor placed on the object. The system is implemented in Max using native objects only. Correlation and convolution, are implemented in the frequency domain (using poly and pfft). This enable running multiple physical filters of maximum lenght (4096 samples
I am developing a patch in which I would like to load audio files along with user-defined tags that accompany each file. These tags contain, the information for each file. It would be nice to store the tags with the audio itself somehow, but I know that .wav and .aiff files can't have ID3 tags, associated with them. One idea I had would be to store the information separately in a text file that maps each file name to a set of tags
hello all I'm trying to remove html tags from messages using regexp. The patch below seems to work. But when the message doesn't contain, any html tags, regexp doesn't pass it through. Does anyone know how I can get around this, so ALL messages with, or without html tags will pass through regexp? Thanks a lot. Jonathan
Hey folks, I wanted to pose question to you guys on the feasibility of trying to phase cancel an acoustic sound. My create objective, is to have an acoustic instrument mic-ed and then cancel or mute certain portions of its spectrum. I would be using some impulse response tools, to know before I go too far down the rabbit hole only to be stymied by the laws of physics.
hi - i want to access and add tags to images from within a max patch (print, send into message objects etc.). is there a way to do, been tagged using picasa. however those tags don't show up in the file browser with the images. why is this? i thought tags are embedded in the data file and move with the image, not software specific? thanks, josh
I know empirically that there is a tag cloud for the Cycling website and the forums, because when I make a post I am asked to enter, relevant tags. I can also make nifty URL-based queries, such as https://cycling74.com/tag/expo/, which resolve to a nicely formatted set, of permalinks. My question is: is there a way to easily discover the tags that are in the cloud? Folksonomy works best when we folk are able to see, the tags that other folk are using... (And thanks in advance for pointing out the location if I am simply clueless and this is a FAQ.)
