ATTRACTR a Vizzie Module

Here’s a Vizzie generator module based on André Sier’s marvellous Chaos library Navier-Stokes object. It gives you properly Vizzie-scaled outputs for each of the 5 component parts of the equation, a output of the average of all these values, and inverted versions (whose high and low values are reversed), too – 12 juicy data outputs for your Vizzifying pleasure. Although I haven’t found that I need or use them, the facilities are included to create your own presets, too.

In order to run the module, you’ll have to install André Sier’s Chaos library objects.

To install, copy the grabbr-patch.maxpat file to
the VIZZIE-PATCHES folder (located inside the patches
folder in your Max application folder), and copy the ATTRACTR.maxpat file to the VIZZIE GEN folder inside the VIZZIE-CLIPPINGS folder (located inside the clippings folder in the patches folder in your Max application folder).

Does this module work in Max 7?

Sure does. It’s IN Vizzie in Max 7 (under Generators), where it pumps out the numbers jus’ fine.

thanks – good to know – I was wondering if there was an issue with the Chaos library objects in Max 7, specifically.

got it working, and didn’t have to instal the chaos modules. I wonder if they are already included in Max 7?

You didn’t need to install Andre Sier’s stuff to run the ATTRACTR because it doesn’t use the external object at all – that portion of the patch implements the equation using gen~.
