Multiple [nodes] (Points and Zones)

Download Links

This Max 6 patch uses two instances of the [nodes] object to output weighted values/volumes for multiple input sources (“points”) as they are spatially related to output sources/channels (“zones”).

Both the points and zones can be positioned manually, or automatically distributed evenly.

For each “point”, the patch outputs a list of values corresponding to the number of “zones” currently in use.

Nothing groundbreaking here, but I thought others might find it helpful, especially for multichannel work and spatialization. Enjoy!

Simple and clever approach to something I was trying to figure out in an overly complicated fashion. I’m developing a project where this is a huge help.

Thanks for this!

Great! basicly the same to say that Duffield about the approach. I was looking for a multiple point node patch or object, for an 8 channel work that i’m making, so i think it made me save lots of cpu waste. I was thinking to make a patch with a particular node object for each moving sound through the space, but your patch saved me from that. Making a few modifications for my purposes but the most of the patch remains intact.
Thanks for that nice patch!
