Using the route object

The route object tries to match the incoming message to the object's own arguments, outputting a bang from the corresponding outlet or the string of data following the matching message. Any non-matching messages will be output from the right most outlet.

route is extremely useful for sorting blocks of data and routing out to separate outlets, or not at all.

route Tips and Workarounds

• One of the coolest features of route is it's ability to match a list or a particular type of message. i.e. it can pick between a integer, a float, a list or even a bang
