PAULA 2.0 uniquely transposes sample pitch while dynamically altering the sample rate based on the note played, combining both upsampling and downsampling in real time. Each note within the range of C1 to B3 is assigned a sample rate (see ‘Tables’). The lower keys are assigned lower sample rates, whereas the higher keys are assigned higher sample rates. PAULA was built to emulate the resampling behaviour of ProTracker 2 running on a Commodore Amiga 1200.

As of version 2.0, PAULA is no longer a VST3 wrapper, eliminating the dependency on TAL-DAC.

Example audio instrument racks included in .alp file.

- No longer dependent on TAL-DAC and works entirely standalone using new Max abl. objects in Max 9.

- New features: C3 Hold, Sample Rate Hold, Trim, DC offset, Phasor Effect, High and Low Shelf EQ, Mono Button and the Current Sample Rate is now displayed.

- Bug fixes: Limited note range to C1-B3 in respect to the sample rate ranges pt2 tables (4144 – 31338 Hz). MIDI triggering now works as expected. No more random noises.

- .alp packing including lesson/example project.

- Added fade on load to fix audible pop/click on load.

- Check Max version displays pop-up/screen warning if below v9.0.0. - Improved UI.

Zwobot is a powerful, modular real-time video manipulation software specifically designed for the creative design of visual performances and VJ applications.

We started developing Zwobot 10 years ago for our own stage shows, and it quickly became an ever-growing software.

Zwobot is designed as a plugin for Ableton Live and enables seamless integration of audio and visual elements in a single workflow. With Zwobot, users can edit videos, animations and graphics in real time, add effects and dynamically synchronize visual content to music. The user interface of the main video player is similar to a DJ mixer to make it easier to get started with visuals.

The software offers an extensive selection of modules and tools (70+), including shader-based effects, filters, transitions and generators for visual content. Zwobot is particularly flexible because it is based on a modular system - users can individually select and combine the functions and effects they want. Effects can be placed in any track in Ableton Live independently of the main video player.

A key feature of Zwobot is the direct connection to music production in Ableton Live. This enables precise control of visual effects via audio signals, the session bpm, MIDI data or automation. This allows musicians and artists to create audiovisual experiences that are perfectly coordinated - ideal for live performances, clubs, festivals or installations.

ClassiCfizer is an experimental timestretch tool inspired by the classic AKAI time stretching algorithm. It’s developed in MaxMSP/Gen and runs as a standalone on MacOSX.

With this tool you can achieve a classic jungle era sound, even without tuning any parameters. Just drop in any sound of your choice, re-record it, and save it.

This device contains some unique features too:

• An algorithm that calculates the stretch speed based on the desired new BPM rate.

• The CycleFrequency (or rate), which can be synced to beat subdivisions, allowing for powerful stuttering effects and rhythmic variations.

• A BPM-synced LFO with three different waveforms that modulates the Speed parameter, opening up greater rhythmic experimentation and strange effects.

Additionally, this device features two stereo timestretching algorithms that can be mixed together or used separately:

• A "normal" timestretch algorithm optimized in Gen.

• A "broken" timestretch algorithm derived from a failed port of a Pure Data patch.

This device allows you to set a recording time and then record a session from a sample of your choice, which can then be saved to your Mac.

Good things come in threes. Designed to arrive at uniquely interwoven patterns, Trifecta is a three-strand polyrhythmic, Euclidean, auto-hocketting, multitimbral, generative performance sequencer. Create sprawling diatonic motifs, or toggle into Drums mode for easy drum rack programming. Each strand features seven parameter lanes: gate, choice between two selected note pitches per strand, velocity, chance of playback, note length, offset delay, and assignable control change. All lanes come with their own parameter controls, including Euclidean options for gate and note to rapidly generate compelling patterns.

The parameter steps of each lane are fully randomizable to easily arrive at new ideas and patterns. Each lane's note choices can be set via MIDI input in real-time via the learn toggle, or transposed independently of the other strands. Exponentially expanding possibilities and use cases, each strand output can be sent to the current MIDI track - or routed to one of 64 X-Relay destinations to be intercepted anywhere in a set.

Each parameter lane can be rhythmically expressed across 64 divisions distributed between 1 or up to 64 bars, allowing you to explore all kinds of polyrhythmic odd number divisions. Along with per-lane cycle loop lengths, play direction per strand and a unique shuffle mode, the unfurling potential is boundless in scope. To help rein your outputs into more predictable outputs, a reset in bars is available on a per-strand or global basis.

Along with a complement of other global controls, the three strands can be woven together in four ways: Combine, merging all MIDI notes polyphonically to the device output; Converse, which follows a hierarchical structure allowing strand 3 to play only when strand 1 and 2 aren’t playing, and strand 2 to play only when strand 1 isn’t playing, with note off states determined by a combination of each strand’s gate and chance lanes; Count, which cycles through each strand forward, backward, or elliptically, at a division of bars set by the global Interval parameter; and finally Chaos, which randomly plays a strand at a division of bars set by the same Interval parameter, in two modes: with or without a chance of silence.

Count and Chaos automatically adapt to the number of strands currently activated via their toggles. And of course it comes with the usual scale quantization, offset delay, optional gate and side input modes, and a helpful visualizer to display which strands are playing and when. Scale aware, theme adaptive, configured for Push and fully Info View annotated, Trifecta is a uniquely creative workhorse for everything from dynamic rhythms to expansive musical architectures.
