Blackmagic UltraStudio Recorder Freezing in jit.grab

I am using the jit.grab object to input live video from a Blackmagic UltraStudio Recorder and am experiencing periodic freezes. Essentially Max is closing the grab object, such that if can be opened again and the video will resume.

I believe this began after I recently upgraded to Sequoia and installed the latest version of the Desktop Video driver.

I am running Max on a Mac Studio 2 Ultra and have never experienced this issue before.

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

I have attached the Max patch for anyone using the Blackmagic device or it can be tested with a Webcam.

Thanks!

Hi Rob! Do you mean turn off Wifi on the host computer? Right now it is on.

I have tested the UltraStudio Recorder with the Blackmagic Design Express software, and there is no problem. The problem is in Max, in which it seems to be closing down jit.grab.

Thanks for your feedback.

no I mean the user mentioned their iPhone being the culprit to losing connection. If you have an iPhone on the same network it will add itself as a potential device which I guess bumps the connection closed or something. Just a wild guess.

I do have an iphone on the same network: (Mobile Cam). Could that possibly be the problem?

I came up with what I think is a solution: using BlackSyphon, which believe it or not still works. I have been running it for over an hour and seems to be stable. Fingers crossed!

This setup works perfectly (so far).
