beside making music with capacitive mushrooms driving karplus strong within a pi's RNBO export, I'm now focusing on a new feature for my late developments for a new a+v live performance.

Using OpenFrameworks for generative & procedural visuals is a strong way I already work with for many projects. I'm talking about agents drawing on the screens, different rules & contexts etc.

I built a small but efficient system for having different context, using OSC from Max for control purposes etc. Very cool.

Textures traveling through Syphon. Solid... on the paper side.

Actually, I cannot have a constant fps on Jitter's side and the classic (but sometimes too much theoretical) moving element from left to right is PERFECTLY drawn on OF side BUT on Jitter side... some subtle but visible stutter effect. I mean... the circle travel sometimes jitter a very bit at slow speed. 

Most noticeable at 1080p than 720p and yes that could be performances problem too (M1 Max 64Gb) but OF side is really showing a ... PERFECT movement. Even with A LOT of circles etc.

Overdrive + Scheduler in Audio Interrupt enabled (tried also to disable them)

I'm wring through FBO on OF. Very conventional.

Max/Jitter pulling Syphon textures asynchronously

 within its UI scheduler, while openFrameworks pushes frames at its own perfectly stable GPU clock.

 lacks frame-perfect sync, causing micro jitter even at high FPS.

My question: should I expect a better quality rendering with any stutter or that way, if some tested it, always involves this kind of things ?

Shouldn't I instanciate syphon things on Max side on a different way ?

I want to play fullscreen movies on two screens using a M4 MacMini. The sound is multichannel. So i have to use an external sound card.

When I switch on the dac~, the privacy indicator is then displayed on the main screen, even if the input device is set to "None". 

I disabled the privacy indicator on secondary screens: 

System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → privacy indicator

system-override suppress-sw-camera-indication-on-external-displays=on

The orange privacy indicator is not shown at the external screen, but still stays on the main monitor. Same result on a standalone and running the patch inside Max.

This also happens with input device is set to "None". Which I do not need. I only want to play sound.

The funny thing is: If you set the input devise to "None" using the mouse, the privacy indicator is not visible for 2 seconds. It then appears again automatically.

The only solution I see is to attach an additional monitor to worship the orange dot :-)

Can someone please help me understand how to avoid this visual “jitter” or “noise”? It looks like small squares or tearing, whereas it should appear as a smooth, flat surface.

, or any type of quads or triangles. I specifically need to use these draw modes.

I have an offset with datas received in ESP32

Below I want to control one strip of 256 leds.

Here I send 768 datas (RGB)  + 1 datas ( "the row"  where pixels will be controlled)

As we can see, I receive several time r,g ,b and after there is an offset with datas.

I tested to send less datas, but it doesn't change the bug.

When these bugs are fixed, I would like to send with row 0 the R,G,B data to leds 0 to 255 and with row 1 to leds 256 to 512. (when there are two lines at [jit.noise 3 char 256 2])

I have a question about Jitter. Assuming a grid like the one in the attached image below (the black lines are just for reference and are actually invisible), I’d like to load a single image and display it across the blocks of the grid. However, instead of showing the image identically in each block, I’d like to rotate it 90 degrees in certain cells. Is this possible to implement in Jitter? I'm also wondering if it's possible to change the grid layout in response to a bang signal. Thank you.

A couple of questions more C74 oriented to.

I have some habits using GL contexts and GPU things (like bypassing jit.gl.pix etc) for saving GPU (& CPU if some parameters are flowing too) but I wanted to clarify them. For instance, jit.fx... family, as a comparison, got a bypass internal attributes/features , so nowadays, this is the way, I understand.

Does a jit.gl.node consume something if it is "directed" by changing the drawto to a null context ? Is it "better" to disable it (enable 0) ?

Does a GL 3D objects (I mean gridshape, sketch etc etc) has to be disable too if it is rendered by a jit.gl.node which have been disabled ? More precisely, do I have to disable and/or switch drawto  to null the jit.gl.node AND disable GL 3D objects too ?
