I'd like to have a grid of 12x12 videos playing in a single jit.videoplane. Is there a canonical way of doing this in Jitter that is most efficient for processing power? 

I could also see this being fairly time-consuming, in terms of laying out the screen and objects - I'm also curious if there is a way to maybe do this with scripting or perhaps a poly~ object?

load a folder of images into a umenu using the prefix attribute (make sure "autopopulate" is enabled), route for "populate" out the dump out, send that to an random/urn/urn-jb object as the range, bang that object and send the output to the umenu, send the output of the umenu as the arg to the importmovie message:

Hi, I'm working on a real-time audio buffer visualisation in Jitter, and it's working fine. The only thing is that this way when the loop capture (driven by phasor~) completes, jit.matrix gets fully cleared / initialised. 

Instead, I want the new data to overwrite/replace the old values progressively (left to right), so the waveform stays visible without resetting, similar to how poke~ works with buffer~. 

If I remove the clear message in my patch, the buffer continues to write, but it just overlaps the old data instead of replacing it.

I've adapted the jit.gl.cubemap example to include a matrixoutput of jit.gl.gridshape, so that I can manipulate the geometry in jit.gl.mesh.  But sadly, the jit.gl.cubemap does not seem to work.

I feel like there is something important I am misunderstanding about textures here - if anyone has help to the problem, that would be great- but also, if there are any resources to better understand why this isn't working, I would be curious.

I'm trying to bring back to life an old patch that is basically a 

It happens that in max 7 it works at more than 60 fps, but in max 8.6.4  it doesn't go over 11 fps, and in 9 less than 4 fps. 

Checked on 2 different  PCs with windows 10 and 11

I had a small question - or maybe it is a big question.. I have a hard time gauging the scale of these things.

One can draw a cube with 12 lines.  However, with a jit.gl.gridshape, and polymode turned to 1_1, a cube is drawn with a complex arrangement of triangles. This can be slightly modified with the gridmode and cullface options, but still, I can't seem to find the most basic representation of a regular drawn cube.   

I noticed an older thread on the forum that drew them manually using jit.gl.sketch, but I'm wondering if that is the only way.
