Free Online Workshop with the Strange Pulse Toolkit for chaotic instrument design

I've been developing the Strange Pulse Toolkit over the last year, (and presented a paper about it at SMC 2025, for those interested) as part of my PhD research into chaotic instrument design.

Now has come the time to run a workshop for those interested in experimenting with the use of strange attractors as the basis of chaotic rythmic generation. The central idea is that chaotic/ unpredictable signals can be more than just 'wierd lfos', as long as we embrace their unpredictable nature and relinquish some control!

The workshop is happening online on the 19th Jan at 16:00-18:00 GMT. All that's required is that you have a working Max install and the ability to join Zoom!

Thanks!

Often the chaotic stuff is just noise to my old and out of touch ears, but I was blown away by how musical, understandable, and how colourful the demo patches are. I'm still playing with the demo2 patch I opened half an hour ago... Thanks to the author for sharing this!
