Is it possible with M4L to overdub in a playing midi clip ?

With M4L it's possible to trigger "session record".

->it will record clips on all armed tracks if the slot is empty

and if a slot is not empty, the alredy playing clip that it containes will be overdubbed.

I am looking for a way to do the same but not for all armed tracks but just the ones I choose.

It's easy with the "fire" function but it will record in empty clips and

with already playing clips the function will just play the clips and not overdub them

The question is :

with M4L how to overdub in a playing clip without using the 'session record" function as I want to exclude some armed tracks from the process...

Any idea ?
