mtof scales tonic?

Hi all,

I watched videos about this and tested a lot but I obv lack some understanding. I got this patch I want to play with the Harmonic Minor Intervals. I'd like to have F as my 'root' note. However, why does sending a 69 MIDI note still give me 440 hz, while A is not part of the F Harmonic Minor scale?

Setting @mid seems to do nothing.. Someone to the rescue?

Doesn't matter what your root note is. A#/Bb4 is 70.

Here is little note picker that I work on sometimes

You select the root and intervals

Set F as root

Select 0 2 3 5 7 8 11 12

Bang the button

You might have manually bang all load bangs to get it to work

all minor and major scales (and all other modes) range over all of the 12 semitones.

the other reason why the expectation is already questionable is that mtof also has a float mode... so it is wanted, that it always outputs something on input.
