Using tuning_system programmatically in Max

I'm trying to incorporate some tuning capabilities in my Max for Live device, and I'm finding that the LOM won't recognize tuning_system unless a tuning file has already been manually loaded. This makes the UI very cumbersome. Can we please have a default 12-TET EDO file pre-loaded, or somehow include this information in the LOM so we can always access it? Thanks.
