gradient and movement on multiple png

"Hi there,

I'm working on a project on macOS and need to bring in a few transparent PNGs. My goal is to dynamically change their appearance using a gradient, control their opacity, and freely adjust their position and size (moving, turning, and scaling them).

I'm using jit.world, i tried using a videoplane, but I'm stuck because I can't find the options to add a gradient or change the opacity. Should I use jit.movie? Could you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Check [jit.fx.rota] to move (@offset), scale (@zoom) and rotate (@theta) your texture before applying it on a videoplane.

You can create gradients in multiple ways, one of them being [jit.gradient] and [jit.gradient.ui], but it is not clear how you want to use them. Please provide a patch so we can help you more precisely.

For the opacity, you can change the alpha channel of the color of the videoplane. You will also need to enable blend and disable depth: [jit.gl.videoplane @blend_enable 1 @depth_enable 0]. A shortcut to this is simply to use [jit.gl.layer].

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

Thank you very much for the information. You've helped me a lot to understand the right path to take. I don't have a well-structured patch to show yet (at the moment), but you've been a great help in figuring out where to start. I apologize for the simple question, but I'm quite new to Max and this kind of support was exactly what I needed.

I will try as you suggested, I will use jit.fx.rota and jit.gradient.
I'll let you know if I run into any other problems.

Thank you again.
