Wondering if any of you smart people know how I might get dynamic string values displayed on my Push 3's screen as parameter names?

I've built quite a robust A/V performance system using Ableton/Push and Touchdesigner for visuals. On the Touchdesigner side, I dynamically load different visual generators based on the currently playing Live clip. Each visual has its own unique set of parameters. I control them via Macro dials on a TDA Rack device (Touchdesigner Ableton plugin which just sends dial values back & forth over OSC). I then perform live manipulation of the parameters via the knobs on Push. For system performance reasons, I reuse the same device Macro dials for each visual. This works great, but the names displayed on the Macros/Push are static. I want to be see what I am controlling from the Push display and have these names update when I switch between visuals.

I setup the send/receive of names over OSC, and updated some dial short-names using the hidden approach mentioned. When I change the names on my dials and they do display properly on the M4L device, BUT the new names don't update on the Push or any Macros dials in Live mapped to those dials.

Right now, I’m totally into Brian Eno and Steve Reich. I’m exploring their music and how it’s composed, as well as how I can “replicate” it using Max MSP and put my own spin on it.

During my search, I came across a Max patch on YouTube created by Dan Reid, who made a “Steve Reich sequencer/composition patch.” There’s a download link in the video description, but it no longer works.

Does anyone happen to have this patch somewhere or can help me recreate it?

Or maybe Dan Reid is reading this and can help us out ;-)

I have a fairly complicated idea that I've been attempting to realise through generative systems but cannot get anything to work. Bare with me, I'll try explain as best I can!

The system follows the decimal series of pi and generates a midi output (say to be played on the diskclavier) that "flows" (sounds cohesive, from one 'segment' (say, bar) to another whether that be melodically, harmonically, etc.). To do this, I have paired each digit of the decimal series with the immediate succeeding digit to form these 'segments.' These two-digit combinations determine how many notes are played in each segment, and how many times it is played.

The idea of the work is that as the decimal series is played through, the "flow" will begin to falter as more and more two-digit combinations re-appear.

Any tips? Or perhaps an example of a similar concept that I can try and alter to produce this idea? Any insight would be great.

I'm pretty new to max msp and I'm trying to recreate 

. When I try to run this I get the notification "specified serial port not available".  It looks functional in the arduino serial monitor and if I hit print in max msp the arduino port shows up in the console so I think I'm just missing something in my patch. Can someone help me figure out what's causing the problem? 

I'm running Max 8.6.5 on a Mac with an M3 chip.
