Hello, i made a thing which is at the heart of all my years of 'click-pop' removal explorations on these forums, and the understanding of which was most solidified when i coded the 1st version of the karma~ object for Rodrigo Constanzo. 

It is a simple 'raised-cosine' ramp for the smoothest, yet catch-all fade-in/fade-out click-pop removal, i've ever found. Now i've rebuilt it in gen~... perhaps not the most efficient mechanism of its kind, feel free to iterate and post your version here, but it is working well for me for every single place i need it.

This is just a demonstration patch, utilizing it in weird ways not originally intended(using it this way demonstrates how the raised-cosine fade is related to lopass filtering, especially in sound), while still demonstrating the sample-rate reactivity and quickness of it, hope it can be useful, or at least entertaining:

Hi, I have some Jitter visualizations to play in sync with music. Currently I am projecting them the normal way on a 16:9 projector screen. 

For an upcoming event they’re designing a wall behind the stage with raised shapes representing the venue’s logo. They’ve asked me to project visuals only inside these shapes, leaving the rest of the wall blank.

I’ve never done something like this before — what could I use? I saw that it’s possible to do projection mapping in Max using 

.meshwarp, but I’m not sure if it works for this scenario since I’d need to leave certain areas dark. Maybe some sort of mask should be applied? I also don’t quite understand if this is something I can prepare before the event or if it’s mapping that has to be done on site.

Do you have any suggestions on how to proceed?

I've built a cool object with MinDevkit with lots of functions, structs, and variables.  The file is getting pretty unwieldy.  I'd like to move a lot of this stuff to a separate header file, or ideally a  few separate header files.  So I can call my function inside the Message code, without loads and loads of preamble in the main object file.

But  with min devkit, we are essentially declaring a class, not defining one.  o basically what I'm trying to do is split a class declaration across multiple files.   Which is not great C++ style as far as I understand it.  I've tried a few different ways to hack this.  Some things can be externalized and some things can't, and the number of exceptions I'm encountering wind up fragmenting the code in confusing ways, which undermines the reason for doing this in the first place.

Any C++ Wizards know of a good way to take the entire private members section of class declaration and put it into a different file from the rest of the class?

I'd love to keep my main object file focused on attributes and messages and keep the gobs of preamble those messages depend on somewhere else.

I have a polyphonic synth that takes MPE (channel per note) using

What's would be the easiest way to accept all types of controllers through the same midiin,  e.g. by converting non-MPE to MPE, using channel rotation (borax?).

Or would it be better to route the non-MPE controller's MIDI events by channel, but how to do that on the raw MIDI stream / reconverting mpeevent to midievent?

 The poly voice's polymidiin seems to kind of usurp [in 1] and blocks all other messages to poly~'s first inlet.  You need [in 2] if you want to send anything else into the poly voices.

There has to be an easy way to do this, but I haven't found or figured out a way to do it yet.

In my patch I get to a number that I want. In this case, this number is 10. How can I turn the number "10" into a list of numbers 1-10, i.e. "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10"  ?

Hello! I've made a delay/looper patch that allows the user to change the step-size used by the counter object that drives  peek and poke operations such that alters the speed of playback as in the example found in the Gen tutorials. Poke's @interp settings ensures everything sounds good no matter the setting, however driving peek with non-integer values produces some really nasty aliasing.

Is there any way to perform interpolation when using non-integer values with counter that's driving peek? @interp is suspiciously absent from its attribute list.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated, thanks!

In order to test if the mouse is on a given object or not, I have made a little device based on [js].

I cannot use [hover] because the actual objects for which I need this test to take place cannot be expected to have a scripting name…

I have a getsize function in JS such as  : 

I added +35 empirically, I assume because of the toolbar (I'm not really sure how to handle that otherwise…).Inside the abstraction (which is just a test, I need this detection device in several objects), I compare the coordinates with a mousestate and then I get 0 or 1. Easy.

The tricky part for me was the zoom, it seemed I handled it well with the getattr("zoomfactor") and multiplying the coordinates

But remains for me a BIG issue : how to detect the object when the patching window is being scrolled away from the starting point? In this case, no matter what zoom % I have (even default 100%) the real box position and the mousestate cannot align anymore.  As show in this video :

Is there any way to retrieve the parent patcher scrolling drift? I'm not sure how to call that in English…

If you know an idea to detect if toolbar is on/off in parent patcher as well, I'm also interested…
