Max was used to generate a piece of music for three voices: Soprano,tenor and bass. The algorithm randomly chooses the notes for each voice from a list of possible notes, who's size is based on restriction related to the key of the music, interval size, and the intended character of the installation. Max/MSP measures, analyzes and alters these attributes based on the interaction of the user. It does this by receiving data from sensors and uses this information to change different aspects of the music being played.
