Hello...
I have a problem, with bPatcher, and offset.
I have a bPatcher, placed inside another bPatcher, for several reasons, my problem is that i want to dynamically control the offset off the nested bPatcher, but i can't find a way to do this.
The nested bPatcher holds a jit.cellblock, which sometimes have more rows than the windows is able to show, so i would like to scroll, in some way.

Hi,
using Ableton suite is it possible somehow to open Max in standalone without passing through Ableton? 
I have tried to open directly Max.app in Contents->App-Resources-Max (MacOS) but it loads without license activated (so saving is disabled). Only when opening it thorugh a M4L device in Ableton the license loads correctly.

In my project I'm using cv.jit.LKflow to interpret the movement in a video and I'd like to turn it into data or numbers I can use, to later on control midi messages...

I've basically copied it from the help section of cv.jitLKflow into my project...

I'm able to get that running... but how do I then turn say, the red and green, and yellow and blue, into data\numbers I can use and not just display the colours as seen in the help section...
What are some objects or methods should I look at?

I'd like to use RNBO-built Max externals in some Max for Live devices.  However, from what I can tell there is no way to dynamically set buffer~ references in RNBO other than what is hardcoded into the external.  

Given that, it also seems it is impossible to scope buffer~ names to individual instances of M4L devices using the triple-dash prefix (e.g. ---MyBufferName), since those names are dynamically set when the device loads in Live.

I'd like to use RNBO-built Max externals in some Max for Live devices.

Can I assing a value through the edit_minfreq and edit_maxfreq so I can filter the range I want?
If that so, how the ++++ you assing a value to the edit_minfreq & edit_maxfreq attributes?

I am pretty new to Max would like some help with the following patch:

Short description:
The patch analyzes the incoming signal (I use a 200ms prerecorded buffer for this that gets played back into this patch), giving me the "absolute mean" value of each frequency band ([avg~]) and out puts it as a list. the [avg~] are getting a bang at the start of playing the buffer and at the end of playback, thus giving me the absolute of the entire buffer.

What I need:
I would like for the patch to give me RMS values instead of what [avg~] gives me. I know [average~] has an rms mode, but I don't know how to set it up so I would get the entire buffer and nothing before and after, as well as converting it to float at the end.

Bonus:
If anyone has any ideas on how to make this patch a bit more elegant, I would love recommendations as well. I feel like there should be a way to do some "bulk processing" here, like using [mcs.fffb~] instead of [mc.fffb~], but I haven't figured out how to do it yet.

Hi so, I'm a relative beginner at Max I need some help with regards to this patch I'm working on (apologies for the spaghetti).

I'm trying to make it so that when I enable the triggers on the top right, I can slice an audio file and have it loop various sections that are moveable using the number boxes plugged into the metros. It works fine but I'm trying to get rid of the clicks that happen when I loop the audio. I'm trying to use the [swanramp~] box to get rid of the clicks. But when I plug in the [*~] into the [play~] I get an error message about 'infinite recursion'. However when I try and plug in the inputs like [start 2000, 3000, 7000] into a part of the [swanramp~] chain (I'm copying a lot from the [swanramp~] help file) I get no audio.

Apologies if it's a simple fix I just can't wrap my head around it right now.

I'm trying to use my rpi as a simple media player.
I want to play files from a USB key connect to the Pi.
The absolute path of the file is: /media/pi/USBkey/sound1.wav
So i created a buffer object :

buffer~ test @file /media/pi/USBkey/sound1.wav

I disabled "Copy sample dependencies" from compiler.

I understand that RNBO copy file from my computer to the pi but how to play file stored on the pi ??
