I use Max in All in one for controlling all incoming data from Synapse, to modify Ableton Live parameters and also for creating video processing with Jitter into Ableton Live as a new device corresponding with the color of the lights. Then, I can synchronize the lights on blue, and video output data also in blue changing with the music in realtime.

Created an interactive environment for participants to explore using their body as the controller for a fully immersive experience. Using the Xbox Kinect and synapse to receive data from the user, I sent that data to MAX/MSP/JITTER. When your hands and feet reaches a Y coordinate it communicates with two arduinos behind the walls using maxuino to turns on specific LED lights.

The KiNstrument is a Kinect's controlled musical instrument made with Max and Synapse (http://synapsekinect.tumblr.com/). KiNstrument allow you to control with the body (hands + head) a virtual or midi instrument as a percussion set in the air (in this case, using Propellerhead Reason with a strange personal sounds).

In the performance, a tribute to Juan García Castillejo, KiNstrument plays toghether with sax, percussions, objects, and an unidentificated  

In this performance, a tribute to Juan García Castillejo, KiNstrument was played with the Aparato Electro Compositor (Castillejo-Scarani) and other instruments, such as saxophone, percussion, miscellaneous items and a number of electronic-controlled public.

First published in Dec. 2011, Kinect-via-Synapse Max Interface routes and displays user-tracking data from the XBox Kinect via OSC messages inside Max/MSP. No external drivers required, although you will need Synapse (http://synapsekinect.tumblr.com/), as well as the OSC-route external. The interface handles fifteen /joint messages for a single user, three different tracking modes, and six different joint event messages with a real time configuration of external routing options. Includes installation, guide manual, as well as credits.
