The Video Music Machine takes video clips or live video input and turns them into a musical step sequencer that generates randomized music and visuals. This entire project was made using Max/MSP/Jitter and was submitted as a course project for Goldsmiths University in London. 

The concept of my project was to reverse the relationship between sound and moving image, and use a video clips to generate music, and create a video-music instead of a standard music-video.

I have manipulated the video clips and turned them into an 8 by 16 step sequencer controlling different sounds and melodies. The sound can be processed internally by the audio engine or send MIDI out. There is also audio reactive graphics to enhance a live performance or installation.
