Heeeeeey Jeremy! I can get this working in Max 7 32b, but I can't successfully put it into a standalone- it's always bogus, even when I explicitly add it to a project.

Any chance of an update?

Hello, my name is Michele Fiori and I collaborate with a startup that uses Max -MSP for installations for museums, theaters etc ..

I congratulate you on your development work on curtains for Max and I have a request for you:

we will need of something like a script that once inserted into the operating system or UEFI of the mac allows us to turn it on .. switch on from off.. when the electric current arrives, in order to allow us a completely automated start-up of all devices, including the Mac: do you could help us?

thanks for your attention and best regards

What about the possibility of using laptops to run your installations? That's the best solution I've yet found for inconsistent power in museum macs.

On a Mac, in the energy saver preferences, you can ask to start up automatically after a power failure.
For installations, I also generally use the schedule features of macOS.

But yes, UPS mac support is awful and always has been, alas.

hello and thanks for the support; we have decided to use the new mac mini M1 for the best video rendering compared with the hardware size .. we are also considering the option to switch on and off directly with the arrival of the current .. some apple technicians say that in the long run the mac could be affected, although I think that an input current stabilizer should avoid any problem .. what do you think? Thanks again
