How can I run VST in a ppooll environment?
How can I route OSC using control@ and OSculator (to use a wiimote)? (I read many times control@'s help but... it never receive anything)

there is a patch called vst@. you can open it from the ho_st. then in there define your vst-folder on top of that patch, then load your plugin...

in control@ choose osc in the top menu, then set the incoming port (as defined in osculator e.g.). incoming messages will be displayed in the routing window.
if you want to use wii-remote you also might use the ppooll patch wii@.

its more opening it alongside with ppooll.
after that, there are different ways depending on how you want to interact with ppooll.
there are 6 possible tasks:
controlling ppooll parameters, getting your patch parameters controled,
sending audio from your patch into ppooll, receiving ppooll audio
sending jitter streams, receiving jitte streams.
all the sending is very simple. objects like ll.par (for parameters) and ll.sa (for send audio) come with help-patches.
receiving is more advanced, since ppooll needs to recognise your patch as "addressable", which means you need the object "actmaker" placed in your patch. please refer to the help section at ppooll/ppooll-help/ in your installation for more insights.

Through fellow musical deviants, I've just discovered this amazing software. I'm trying to get a feel for it but am having problems beginning.
-downloaded the latest free demo version of Max
-downloaded ppooll 2.1
I'm able to open the ppooll host/clue window. But something is different. The host window has a frame around it. This is not so on the tutorials in Vimeo. I'm able to turn the object on/off, move the slider, but when I try to activate Acts nothing happens. Hardplay does not appear. Sinus does not appear. Nothing. What am I doing wrong?
I hope you can get a clear understanding of the problem from my message.

did you "install" ppooll according to the readme attached?
on osx thats only one step, putting the folder "ppooll" into the folder cycling '74, then relaunch max.
otherwise have a look into the max-window (opening by apple-m) and report the errors there.

Hello filip! I try to understand if there is a possibility and some easy way to deal with clock to set the master tempo and make some tempo sync inside ppooll objects and with my external midi gear? Thanks

well syncing and tempo is not really a strength of ppooll.
there is no such thing like a master tempo.
what exactly do you want to achieve?

Hi Klaus,
The new version of ppooll is causing a 'not responding' max/msp. I've installed a few versions of ppooll now and am following the instructions in the read me. I've tried several times w/ ver. 1.9 and ver. 2.1. I'm using Max 6.1. There's no message when I open ppooll via Max, just a spinning globe.

Hello there.
I've just downloaded the latest version of ppooll, but unfortunately I can't get the vst or au modules to work. They currently show the developer's plug ins in the drop down box, rather than my own. I also can't find version 2.3 to revert back to, the next most recent one I can find is 1.97, in which the control@ module doesn't seem to work properly.
If anyone can help, that would be much appreciated as I'm totally lost without ppooll!

I would like to run ppooll within Max 7. Unfortunately the folders are named differently in this Max version to what your ppooll guidelines stated for Max 6.

Could anyone clarify the difference between ppooll and lloopp? Is 'lloop' simply another name for 'ppooll? or is lloop seperate patch in itself?

I tried to install ppooll on my windows laptop, by downloading and installing Windows Runtime 6.1.10 64-bit and ppooll_vers2.8. And doing so accordingly to the steps on the word doc.
Everythings goes fine, but when I try to open the ppooll_host - maxpatch, errors turn up in the max-window: 'newobj / strcat: No such object found'. The same for 'pattrexists', 'mkdir', ... and others.
Maybe you can help me out?

I ran into the same problem. The solution is NOT to use 64bit version of the run time. It won't work with PPOOLL. I used the 32bit version of 6.1.10 and it works fine!

Hi - I’ve got a problem with saving Environments in ppooll. I write all Acts and Environment but when I load host Environment appears without loading any samples, and I can’t do anything: load new samples, play samples etc. Could you help me?
Hi Klaus, thanks a ton for ppooll. It was a key ingredient in the creation of my last album: modify.bandcamp.com. I recently got a new laptop and acts are not loading when I click on them. I have tried troubleshooting using different versions of Max, upgrading operating my system (I upgraded from El Capitan to High Sierra), and more, and can't figure out why acts aren't loading. Please let me know if you know of any possible solutions to this issue.
Having the same issues as Modify. Acts almost never open now and when they do their responsiveness cuts in and out. Kind of out of troubleshooting options. Use ppooll a lot so definitely feeling its absence.
0210X and everyone else who is having the problem of acts not opening: here is how I solved it on Max 7. Go to Documents -> Max 7 -> Library, and drag the ppooll folder into the library. Then open ppooll in Max 7 and it should work.

Im trying to run ppooll on my computer, but it still gives me hard time :)
Acts dont pop up and I can see only one error: 193 loading external ll_fastforward. Can it be conected? Im really psyched to play with it and learn something more. Can someone help one damsel in distress? :D

Hi All (this is my first post searching for help on PPOOLL). I'm so excited about getting into PPOOLL, and i'm super grateful for the availability of it . I've used Max a bit, but i'm still just getting my head around it really.
Anyway, i'm not getting acts to work in PPOOLL at all. For example, if i set up an instance of Hardplay or gg.rainer it sends out to ho_st fine. However, if i try to route it to freeverb (for example) and route freeverb to ho_st I get nothing. Also, I don't seem to have MixL and MixR available - not sure whats going on? (screenshot attached)
Really, really appreciate anyone's help on this - please :)
