We’re pleased to announce the release of Jeff Kaiser's jk.lpx package of Max abstractions made with for interacting with Novation's Launchpad X controller within the Max environment. The new release includes a pair of Max externals, and a set of easy-to-understand examples included in the Max Extras menu. 

The jk.lpx package includes the following abstractions:

A single instance of the jk.lpxcore abstraction manages all connections between the jk.lpx abstraction and your Launchpad X.

The jk.lpx abstraction allows you to interact with Pads (the Launchpad X's main 64 pads) and Buttons (the buttons around the edges of the Launchpax X) using Max live.text (as toggles, buttons, and radiogroups) and the live.menu objects. The jk.lpx abstraction also outputs MIDI Note number, velocity, and polypressure for the Pads.

This collection of abstractions is available and accessible using the Max Package Manager.
