Recent development on Iannix graphical OSC sequencer

IANNIX is a graphical free software sequencer, based on the work of Iannis Xenakis, that is programmable with javascript, speaks OSC, and is available for multiple platforms. Max users probably already know it; if not the current software than the original stuff from Xenakis. The new release this month looks pretty spiffy and has been getting some attention in the media art blog-o-sphere. It is versatile, conducive to mixed modality interaction, very discursive (in a good way), and historically very interesting.

If you like IanniX be sure to check out GeoSonix, based on fork of IanniX started about nine months ago. I've added many features enabling the creation of a wider range of styles of music and, while retaining OSC support it has greatly improved MIDI support, a simpler syntax for the scripting language, and in an upcoming release a unique ability to synthesize triggers attached to curve using rhythm patterns. I've also done a lot of work on usability including an always available-message script editor with syntax highlighting.
