I'm running Max 6.1.9 64 bit on windows 8.1

installed latest java: version 8 update 25 (build 1.8.0_25-b18)

And i believe it came with a runtime environment.

Does java not work with max on this setup? Need help

also, in max, i make an mxj object, then open the helpfile. All thsoe mxj objects are grayed out and the max window says it can't find the runtime environment.
