How to make a button output 1 when pressed and zero when not?

Im getting really stuck on this, does anyone know how to do it?

I used a bpatcher almost exactly the same as Bruno’s example except that it links the right outlet of ubutton to the "0" trigger so that when you release the mouse outside of the objects range it still sends a zero (you might not want this behaviour though).

Now I tend to use the [pictctrl] method. I’ve attached a [toggle] and [button] image that I use to keep the max feel of things, just try not to get them confused with regular buttons and toggles if you use them!

Sorry I am a bit confused, I didnt see any text or attachment’s in Bruno’s Post otherwise I wouldn’t have replied so tardily!

I dont understand what you mean by the bpatcher, or the pictctrl method, can you explain a little bit more dumbed down for a max fool please? :)

All i can see is a load of coad embedded in the image like this

That works for me. Perhaps try putting the image files in the max search path somewhere.

Is it possible to attach a patch in a max.pat format? Or I just posted my patch in the main forum with the problem im having. If you could demonstrate how to fix it for me i would be eternaly greatful!
