M4L Device not working properly until adjusting parameters
Alright, this is an odd one and probably involves something simple I'm missing, but...
I've been working on some devices, and I've noticed that certain dials (With ☒ Initial Enable and a preset value defined) don't seem to send their value until I adjust them. Is there something I'm missing?
I have a similar issue with a umenu that selects an audio source, but until I click it, there's no audio.
What am I forgetting to do here?
I am stumbling over the same problem in a complex device. Some dials show their initial values, but don't seem to send them on if the device is loaded into amxd~. Opening as patch and within Live it seems fine.
Not elegant, but sometimes when I'm lazy about this like this I just brute force it with a workaround like this:
thanks, but this seems to output only 0, because the initial value is NOT YET SET! (at least in amxd~ in Max)
Any difference if there is a [deferlow] after [live.thisdevice]?
