The installation is controlled entirely in Max, using Olivier Pasquiet's [dmxusbpro] object to send DMX messages to sixteen channels of LEDs hidden in the piano debris. Algorithmic modules in the patch alter the tempos, fermata lengths, and light patterns on every repetition of the piece (which takes around 2 minutes for a full "performance").
