…is a 64-slot resampling loopstation inside a max-for-live device,
for those among us who are into layering improvised material
rather than moving around midi
it can record audio from “the outside” as well as its own output,
it may record in sync with LIVE or just as well sync LIVE
when you record a new loop, whats already playing is not added to the
recording (unless you choose to do so)
the new recordings are assigned to “slots” on a 8×8 matrix that
can be played ,moved around the matrix and edited.
you can also drop samples into the L64`s “slots” from outside.
theres even a simple sample editor to crop, fade and normalize the “slots”.
the device will backup your settings and recordings with the LIVE-set.
(important:press the BACKUP button! before closing the set)
since its an M4L-Audio-Device (it has to be,to be able to record audio from the “outside”),
it is controlled via OSC.
there`s a template for “touchOSC” included in the download,if you happen to have a
device that is capable of running “touchOSC”.
you can get touchOSC here http://hexler.net/software/touchosc
the communication with “touchOSC” is completely bi-directional.
anyway, i also did external M4L-devices “grabbing” Midi and sending it to
the L64 to play and edit the “slots” or to start new recordings.
since its version 0.98,there will be BUGS
its been coded on XP,so there might be Mac-specific bugs as well.
I NEED YOUR FEEDBACK because this is a big project and I am doing it all by myself
and I could even use SUPPORT in terms of CASH,haha.theres still a lot to do,like
writing a proper manual,doing a tutorial video…even to eat something sometimes…
by the way it would also be possible to integrate support for controllers
like the “launchpad” or “push”.
keep on looping,
How did this project use Max?
its an M4L-device.theres quite some gen~ inside.
