Backup Aura

“Backup Aura” is an album of electronic music consisting of six compositions that make use of the computer as a feedback tool for extending the ideas and intuitions of the composer. It will be officially released on Hyperfunction (.org) on september 6th, 2010.

Max/MSP was used in two ways: to write the code (= scores) that generate some of the pieces, and to process or synthesize sounds for further use within a patch or a sequencer environment. The rule systems of the generative patches were run over an extended period of time and changed according to the taste and ideas of the composer.
