The Practice Room for Electroacoustic Music

The Practice Room uses Max to facilitate rehearsing or performing electroacoustic music for instrument & tape. Being a more dedicated tool rather than your average mp3 player, Max was used to store precise starting locations using milliseconds; each Preset will store volume settings, metronome settings if desired; and as previously mentioned save and retrieve start locations for immediate playback. This prevents excessive "cueing" in mp3-like applications facilitating an efficient practice session when working with this type of medium.

Each composition that you are studying can be stored as a single file (.json) which can store up to 20 Presets with 15 additional Indexes (Track Indexing) per preset. In addition, “hot keys” facilitate the creation of presets and speed up productivity to get you practicing or performing.
