This project simply couldn't have been done without Max for Live and it's superb integration with Ableton's routing system. Side-chaining audio has always been a contentious method to me. In theory it’s a fantastic idea of getting elements of a mix to sit together, but in actuality, it has always created more problems for me. A number of tools have come out over the past decade ,but in all instances they fail at accomplishing transparency and simplicity.

Chain Shaper changes all of that by being the most accurate and intuitive plugin on the market. Transients are detected before they even play and the audio ducks out cleanly, essentially like automating a volume fader. Secondly, I've wanted a way to view how the two signals interact and this is the first plugin that has a multi channel Oscilloscope that shows, in real time, how the trigger sound ducks out the target sound. I'm sure once you see it in action you'll see how exciting Chain Shaper is.
