Diving the Cloudy Envoys of Stagnant Self Hypnotism/Outside the Hermit's Cave

Original Copy is a project that explores the translation of visual material into sound, text and musical notation. Visual input is generated by a combination of bespoke mechanical devices as well as video footage and material recordings/documentation made on specific site visits. Material generated by the project has taken the form of short film works, a collection of audio releases, installations in exhibitions and live performances. The project is a collaboration between Bristol based Riccardo Carbone & London based John Strutton

This was a live improvised performance by Original Copy, Stephen Dunne & Mark Titchner at Townhall Arts Centre, Cavan, Ireland, as part of Stephen Dunne's exhibition "Outside the Hermit's Cave". A Séance of sorts, transforming Stephen Dunne's drawings via electronic voice phenomena, broken radio and hermetic intervention.

MaxMSP was used in all aspects of the performance, audio and visual.
