Flat Bed: Volume 2 - Original Copy

Original Copy is a collaborative project between Riccardo Carbone and John Strutton which explores the possibilities of creating time based audio visual works through an interaction and translation of the process of painting and drawing in live performances and recordings, that play with forms of communication such as séances and magic rituals. Events have used painting, light boxes, flatbed scanners, spoken word and moving objects to conjure up ghosts in the machine.
This particular project is the second in the series and uses video loops of a flatbed scanner & max to translate paintings into sound, with improvised guitar and generated text (also from created from video loops in max) for voice.
