Ils ont regardé la neige tomber dans les yeux d'Émilie

Experimental and performative laboratory with the participation of Rémy Bélanger de Beauport, free improv cellist. The EEG (electroencephalogram) headset is used to measure electrical activity in the musician’s brain. The data control, transform and modify, in real time, the animations projected on the screen. This mix between improvised music and biofeedback allows, for the public and the musician, to push the limits of the imaginary, by making visible the invisible in him.
The musician presents several small-improvised pieces linked to different visual and mental exercises. It allows us to see the contrast between weakness and mental control. Programmed in the MaxMSP software, the data received in real tim in OSC allows me to observe the behaviors of the waves and to make graphic visual and sound representation (I’m using a learning machine code to filter the huge amount of data).
