Max for Live *grain — Granular Sampler

*grain is an 8-voice granular sampler which processes pre-recorded audio material in different ways of granulation.

Various parameters like grain length, density, pitch, gain and panning as well as size and position of the sample section to be processed can be set, randomized and monitored in the editor window.

The position of the sample section can be also modulated by an envelope as well as some other parameters can be controlled by an LFO.

By default the general pitch of the granulated signal will be controlled by a midi keyboard i.e. incoming notes. Furthermore it is possible to assign eight individual pitch values to the processed sound to achieve some polyphonic structures which can be manually controlled and randomized.

Further documentation can be found in the Max for Live device if Ableton Live ́s Help View is turned on.
