The patcher is a simple design, to control one single midi output, but can be modified to control multiple setups, anything from one midi device to, within reason, 8-16, for more complex instrument, efx and rack devices. A long time keyboardist and synth player myself, I wanted to design something simple that would control a keyboard/synthesizer from a tactile controller, and using Max to handle the application. In its basic form, it handles program change numbers and bank numbers, which can be stored and recalled, using the preset object. The version here is aimed at the desktop or tablet environment, but simple configuration would let it be used with an external and tactile controller.
