Painting - Ailin Yu
SoundTech - Dillon Bastan
A collaborative, interactive oil painting using conductive paint in its center. The conductive paint acts as a capacitive sensor, allowing for hovering and touch to be detected. This creates the interactive aspect of the painting: as one hovers closer or touches the painting, it will in turn change an accompanying soundscape.
The interactive and sound aspect was created with conductive paint (Y-Shield RF), Arduino, Max for Live and Ableton Live.
Max accessed data from the Arduino via [serial] and processed the data to control groups of sounds in Ableton.
