Songs For LSD

"Songs For LSD" is the highly anticipated debut from psychedelic terrorist Daniel Coward. Songs For LSD = Drums+Voice+Computer (Max by Cycling74+MIDI pedal) performed live.
95% of these recordings are live - some splicing and a couple overdubs - but fundamentally it is live. All sounds originate from the drum set or my voice and then go into my computer where they are processed by Max. The processing done in Max is either automated based on time, triggered by a MIDI foot controller, or triggered by the audio inputs. The performance itself is reactive to the sound being processed. Inspired by Jimi Hendrix using feedback or Arthur Russell bouncing his hands around the cello with a delay. What interests me about the "Psychedelic Drum Kit ©" is that percussive sounds create structure - and having a feedback that shapes the structure as well as the texture is a lot of fun - I hope that enjoyment comes across on the recordings.
