The Earth Organ is an outdoor interactive sound art experience by Swedish composer/sound artist Anders Lind. Three organ-like musical instruments create an orchestral platform that invites musical interaction. Everyone, regardless of age or musical background, is given the opportunity to be a musician. The world premiere of The Earth Organ was exhibited in the Park of the Museum of Ethnography in Stockholm, Sweden, in the summer of 2022. A Max patch is controlling the behaviors of the Earth Organ. Light sensors are connected through Arduino boards to send data to the Max patch. Concept, composition, and programming by Anders Lind.
