Zwobot

Zwobot is a powerful, modular real-time video manipulation software specifically designed for the creative design of visual performances and VJ applications.

We started developing Zwobot 10 years ago for our own stage shows, and it quickly became an ever-growing software.

Zwobot is designed as a plugin for Ableton Live and enables seamless integration of audio and visual elements in a single workflow. With Zwobot, users can edit videos, animations and graphics in real time, add effects and dynamically synchronize visual content to music. The user interface of the main video player is similar to a DJ mixer to make it easier to get started with visuals.

The software offers an extensive selection of modules and tools (70+), including shader-based effects, filters, transitions and generators for visual content. Zwobot is particularly flexible because it is based on a modular system - users can individually select and combine the functions and effects they want. Effects can be placed in any track in Ableton Live independently of the main video player.

A key feature of Zwobot is the direct connection to music production in Ableton Live. This enables precise control of visual effects via audio signals, the session bpm, MIDI data or automation. This allows musicians and artists to create audiovisual experiences that are perfectly coordinated - ideal for live performances, clubs, festivals or installations.
