I just downloaded this program. I want to try some animations but...every tutorial seems to start with the assumption that I already have some knowledge about the program. For example, in this tutorial, you open something--I have no idea what you opened or how you opened it. Can I get a for dummies explanation?

Hi Zebra,
You might want to start with some basic Max tutorials. In the Help menu, choose "Max Tutorials" and do a few of them to get a feel for how Max works. Then you could try a few Jitter tutorials to get a feel for processing video in Max. The openGL coverage starts with Tutorial 30. Once you understand Max's openGL implementation, the animation tutorials will make more sense.
