Mira 1.1.7 is now available
Good news, everyone: Mira 1.1.7 is out. Don't forget to download an updated version of the Mira package for Max, in addition to the new version of the Mira app.
So what's new in Mira 1.1.7? In a word, speed.
With this new version, we wanted to focus on stability and speed. We optimized the interface, which makes the whole application faster and more responsive. Loading a patch takes half as much time as it used to, and switching between patch tabs is faster too.

Certainly does seem a lot faster and more stable so far! Much appreciated, it's the difference between something I can experiment with to something I can make proper use of. Thanks for the update!

relieved it is getting some love - shame the icon in 5.1.1 didn't though, it'd get lot in the snow !

Hi Sam,
Having some issues with Max for Live in that the server disconnects as soon as
I complete editing a device and try to use it in Live. No problems in Max itself.
This msg appears - Server Error - error 70007..and can't connect to Max server at all.

Just started using Mira today. WOW!!! Is this being actively updated?
How about adding playbar, preset, pictslider,function, matrixctrl and radio group? mira.grid does some of the last two.

Mira is just full of bugs. It's freezing constantly, crashing constantly, constant connection errors..
This software should still be in beta testing, this is not a finished product, so many objects still missing.
I'm thankful it's there nonetheless, but it should have been introduced for a lot less money at this stage.
Hope we get an update soon.

Hi!!
I'm using Mira on the stage, playing a full show (21 songs) only with Mira, Max, Ableton Live and some NI Synths. Before that I used some keyboards but I'm not a keyboardist... I did a manager to control the patchers loading, and I'm really happy with the results. Nowadays I have a patcher to every song and I don't have problems with stability, in fact, the possibilities are growing up every time I review my patchers.
I use some mira.multitouch to control the content of another ones, changing the MIDI messages of them every time the song harmony changes, acting like an harmony sequencer. With this, I need to change the label of some cells, to keep in touch with notes I'm playing, enabling some improvise possibility. With the older versions of Mira the load of comments content seems to be a bit slow, but with the new version the problem is solved.
Thank you, guys, for Mira!

seems much more stable and reliable now. Textbuttons are sometimes missing their content. But the only crashes I had now was putting very big pictures in fpic. Thanks for the work - seems to be turning into more than just a gimmick steadily.

Textbuttons are sometimes missing their content you say? :) they are not supported at all. It's the object I would need the most in Mira. Can't use it until it is included.

1) Is it possible to bring a Mira tab into focus, but only in one of the Mira clients? Not in all.
2) And I also support the big BPATCHER support request? What's the deal with that, is it so difficult to implement?

BTW: how do I know which Mira version I am using right now?
The package-info.json file under my Mira package shows this:
{
"name": "Mira",
"type": "package",
"author": "Cycling '74",
"description": "Mira automatically connects to Max and mirrors your interface.",
"version": "1.0.11",
"major_version": "1",
"minor_version": "0",
"min_max_version": "6.1.3"
}
The version says 1.0.11, is that it? looks wrong ,I thought I was using 1.1.5 or 1.1.6.

Max crashed 4 times last night during my performance !
I am suspecting Mira, at one point I restarted Max and went on without Mira and it didn't crash no more. Unfortunately I didn't have time to copy the crash logs.1) Where can I find this logs? I guess they are written to a file somewhere. I'm using osx 10.9.
2) Are there any known issues with Mira that can cause Max to crash?
I think I am using Mira 1.1.7, but I don't know how to verify it.

I've managed to reproduce a Max crashed related to Mira!
This time, on my new clean Macbook Pro with osx 10.9.5
I 've just installed Max 6.1.8, and Mira 1.1.7
I created a new patch, added a mira.frame, then opened the mira.frame help patcher. And fooled around a little in the "supported UI objects" frame, then when I cloase the help patch then Max crashes.
I reproduced it 3 times
I attached the 1st crash report. (I have the other 2)
I was building on Mira for my performance, and it seems like I will have to give it up )-:
It is just unreliable and too risky for performance.
