Those of you who know our department (from the ICMC etc.) will know that we have a very strong composition team and an equally strong electronic/computer music team. What we are essentially looking for is someone to bridge this gap.

Although the Researcher will have carte blanche to investigate and develop research in this area, we have a number of research projects within the department that are on-going or just starting that involve Pierre Alexandre Tremblay, Alex Harker and me looking into this field. If you want more details regarding PA's research project with Alex developing the HISS Tools (MSP R&D Software) please contact p.a.tremblay@hud.ac.uk. We strongly hope and anticipate that the successful researcher will become part of an ongoing research team and so, part of future research bids in order to extend the contract.

Additional to the post description below - from my research budget, the Fellow will have access to upto £2000 research expenses for international travel/conferences etc. per year.

Many thanks

Prof. Monty Adkins
Director of Research (Music/Music Technology)

Dr Pierre Alexandre Tremblay
Director of Studios/HISS, Reader in Composition
