I have 2 questions about the text object :

-is there any way to get a message when the text window is closed?

-is there a way to improve the paren checking? right now the highlight only blinks for a instant on the opposite parenthesis then disappear, I'd like for it to stay on as soon as the cursor doesn't move, and possibly also to highlight the whole pair (including the one next to the cursor)
