Greetings from Stuttgart, where another fantastiche Max/MSP/Jitter
workshop week has concluded in a familiar way. I am pleased to
announce that Max hero Jan Klug has successfully defended his title
and is the winner of the Croissant d'Or patching competition for 2006.
The sound fodder for this year's competition was a 45-second answering
machine message from a mental health institute of questionable merit.
Jan's patch allowed him to dial the phone number of the institute, to
listen to the message, at the appropriate moment to quiver in
self-doubt, and finally spectacularly crash.
Congratulations to Jan and all the competitors! Watch this space for
photos of Jan posing with the coveted croissant-mounted plaque. (This
incredible croissant shows no sign of aging.)
