43j-fourwaymix shader with jsmoviebank_modified.js
Hello,
And perhaps this message could be more adressed to Vade who wrote the
jsmoviebank_modified.js object.
I want to mix 3 videos with the 43j-fourwaymix shader, each of them
calling files dynamically with a jsmoviebank_modified.js js object.
Separately, everything is fine : the fourwaymix shader works fine,
also does the seamless load of the videos with the
jsmoviebank_modified.js (thanks a lot for this nice script Vade ! ).
But when I connect the output of the js objects to the3 inputs of the
fourwaymix shader, only the leftmost input does works, not the
others. Although the 3 outputs of the videos are ok - tested with
jit.pwindows. Which information or operation am I missing ? Is this a
problem of colorspace ?
And incidentally, a (certainly dummy) question : is there an object
just returning (not converting) the colorspace type of an incoming
video flow ?
Thanks a lot in advance...
Thierry

Hi.
Not a particularly helpful reply, I'm afraid - just another question..
Thanks for the lead to jsmoviebank_modified.js - looks very useful and could solve an issue I have with a current project. I've found vade's original post on this, but I can't get the script to work - I think the format gets jumbled when I copy and paste it. Is there any way you (or anyone) could post the script as an attachment?
Many thanks,
Joseph
I'm afraid I still can't get that to work - still plenty of line breaks in there. I can spot some of them - comments etc., but I don't have sufficient programming chops to spot them all. For what it's worth, I'm left with two error messages:
• error: js: jsmoviebank_modified.js: Javascript SyntaxError: missing ; after for-loop condition, line 54
source line: movarray[i].dispose();
• error: js: no function index
Hmmm.. ended up with an incomplete post.. here's the rest:
Anyway, if either yourself or vade (if he's watching) could post the code as an attachment that should sort it..
Thanks for your help, anyway - much appreciated.
Hi.
I have not looked at this in a while, but here it is:

Ok, I looked at this and it mostly works as intended (it reports the
end of the movie *right before* the end of the movie, so you remove
some of the delay in switching the prerolled movies).
Ive got some cruft in there since it was used in a Steven Segal
automated trailer generator patch, but it works - I just tried it, and
renewed my love for Segal.

*sigh*
god bless him.

Thanks vade, but I can't see anything there? it's either some kind of Cageian code, or you didn't attach, or I'm being stupid..
Or the mailing list/forum integration does not work. I attached via
the mailing list. Oh well.
