A drop down menu

hi, i am relatively new to max, i am looking to create a drop down menu or something similar where i can select a scale and then it only shows the message boxes for the frequencies of that scale, that then can be pressed to play the note in that scale.

at the moment i just have a large number of message boxes and id like some way of tidying it up. its probably something simple. id really appreciate your help, thanks
