A few max/msp patch glitches
I am experiencing a few interesting problems and wanted to see if anyone one else experience them, and if so what you have done to troubleshoot. I am using a relative new XP notebook, with 2gig of RAM, 2.4ghz duo core, etc.
1. Recently, in the last month or so, I have experienced a problem when opening my main patcher file. This is my central performance patch that contains several obstractions and various objects for MIDI control, keyboard control, etc. I run max, and then open the file from the File menu. Then max hangs while trying to open the file. However, if I open max, and then double click on my pather file from explorer, it opens in max with no problems. Or if I simply double click on the pather file, it will also start max and open the file fine. Odd. Any idea what might cause this?
2. Inside my main patcher file, I have some patches running inside Poly. For these few patches, when I turn them on, I lose some graphics on my screen. For example, not all my meters will display. That is the most common example. It only occurs with some patches, and they aren't even patches that are taking up a lot of CPU power, less than 15% in most cases.
Any clue or tips as to what might be going on here would be greatly appreciated. I did search the list and could not find a specific case of this, though I suspect something might be buried somewhere.

This may be a silly question but do have the
latest video drivers installed for your display?
Also the latest version of DirectX.

Not silly at all. I believe so. I just re-built my system a few months ago and went through the arduous task of updating the entire OS, drivers, etc. But I will double-check. Thanks.
