the friendly ghost

i'm having a little trouble with max/msp and the m-audio firewire audiophile.

running osx 10.4.7 and trying my best to get Audio-In from a mic, which i would like to re-route out the audiophile to a speaker.

in my patch, ive connected an adc~ to a dac~ and no luck.

all i am getting right now is a funny humming sound. i am routing the speakers through my stereo amp.

well, i am hoping a generous soul might help me out and give me a handful of suggestions both within my patch and within other max settings .... to get this working ...
