ableton push//(viral marketing warning)
hey.

anything from cycling about this?
and.. yeah i guess nobody here knows that, or it's the wrong place to ask, but will this have USB 2. unlike the slow launchpad?
I mainly wanted to let you all know about it in case you are considering buying an APC or the like in the near future.
cheers!
(biting on the viral...) if this thing brings machinedrum-like hands-on-ness to live i'm totally getting it. i always loved the sound design capabilities of live but missed the directness of a tangible interface. tried lots of controllers but nothing really nailed it for me. looks like they might have done it now...
hmm... how well would it integrate with M4L...?
yeah, that's actually also what i am interested in most, what about throwing away live and using this with max only? I really hope and believe that there will be big support for max user custom stuff..
any info/speculations on the communication protocol used with the Push? I am guessing Max is used since I read that Python might make it to L9 but M4L is the future. it was a statement by Ableton CEO few years ago.
most info i was able to find so far:
http://futuremusic.com/blog/2012/10/25/ableton-unveils-push-hardware-controller-for-live-9/
do like the capabilities of that. i currently have 2 launchpads and little midi controllers, and lemur.
i mainly use arrangement though for writing [that makes more sense to me], but this may change things for me to use session more.
500 euros [about £400] that seems fair. will look further. but more than likely will get it on b-stock, like i did with the launchpads.
id easily use this with max ;)
