The sampling rate of buffer~ is 16000 for some reason even though the sampling rate on audio status is 44100. I don't know whether this problem is caused by max/msp or mac because I have no knowledge of audio. If it's a max/msp problem, is it possible to change the sampling rate of buffer~?

You can change a buffer's sampling rate by sending a message "sr" (for instance sr 44100) to the buffer object.
